Regarding Submissions

This directory is editorially controlled meaning that articles must get past an editor before they go live on our site. Double check your submission beforehand to insure there are not errors. Check your paragraph formatting and follow the correct linking rules. Because of our high standards not every article we receive will be published.

maritimewired.com is a FREE repository of articles. If you wish to sell your articles do NOT submit them here.

By submitting your articles you agree to the following:


1. You declare that all work you submit is original work created by you and that you hold all copyrights to your original work. Copyright disputes of any kind will result in immediate deletion of the article in question.

2. You grant unlimited permission for your article(s) to be published on maritimewired.com, its Partner Sites, Clients, Ezines, RSS Feeds and Newsletters without prior notice.

3. You grant unlimited permission for other Web Sites, Ezines, RSS Feeds and Newsletters to freely reprint your article(s) without prior notice.

4. You agree that although maritimewired.com will insist that all reprints of your article(s) be accompanied with your (the authors) copyright, it follows our publishers terms of service. If a publisher neglects to do so, the responsibility to take any action against the publisher will be yours (the author) alone and at your own expense.

5. We do NOT accept articles with the following content.

  • Warez, Hacking, Security Subversion, sites promoting malicious activity.
  • Promotion of mp3 downloads and/or copyright infringement.
  • Illegal activity.
  • Promotion of prescription drugs.
  • Articles containing remarks that are racist, derogatory or that violates a person's individual rights.
  • Containing or promoting sexually related content.
  • Content that may be considered offensive to others.
  • Slander towards an individual or entity.
  • Press Releases.
  • Gambling related or suggestive.


6. Your title must be 65 characters or less, relevant to your article and may not contain contact information, your name, business name, any website name or otherwise. Titles must NOT be written in all CAPS. The first letter of each word must be capitalized, excluding common words (optional) like “the, and, are” unless it is the first word of your title.

An example of a perfect title would be:
  • My Perfect Title


7. All descriptions must be no more than 4 sentences long and relevant to your article. The first paragraph of your article would be sufficient.

8. The use of HTML is not allowed within any portion of your article.

Links are automatically formatted and will be active by using the following structure:Note: “maritimewired.com” without the www will be seen as plain text and will not be rendered active.

A maximum of two links are allowed within the article text

If your article exceeds the number of allowed links it will be rejected, the extra links deleted or deactivated.

Note: If the "href" tag is used our system will automatically deactivate it. "href" tags can only be used in the author's bio box.

9. The author's bio box can be used for biographical and copyright information as well as linking to relevant websites. We allow a maximum of two links in this box. The links must be active. If they are not or become inactive at a latter date the article will be removed or the link(s) deactivated.

You may use the “herf” tag to link with keywords in this box.

The links may not link to sites that contain:

  • Warez, Hacking, Security Subversion, sites promoting malicious activity.
  • Promotion of mp3 downloads and/or copyright infringement.
  • Illegal activity.
  • Promotion of prescription drugs.
  • Remarks that are racist, derogatory or that violates a person's individual rights.
  • Containing or promoting sexually related content.
  • Content that may be considered offensive to others.
  • Slander towards an individual or entity.
  • Gambling related or suggestive content.
  • An excessive use of affiliate referral links.
  • An excessive use of ads.


10. Links may not point to any type of downloadable file.

11. Links may not contain affiliate referral codes, variables or unique identifiers.

12. Published articles can be deleted at the users request.

13. The author’s name must be in the format of “John Doe or J. Doe” single word or all initials are not allowed.

14. Articles must provide useful information and not be an advertisement. All submissions in the form of advertisements, testimonials or sales pitches will be rejected.

15. Articles must be 400 words minimum not including the description or author’s bio.

16. If you write articles for other people do not create different usernames for each of your clients.

Simply create one account for you and type your full name in the “real name” box of the registration form.

In the authors bio box type something like “This article was written by “Your name” on the behalf of “Your clients name”.
Or
This article was written for “You clients name”.

If the name of the author is different from the name in the bio box the article will be rejected unless you make it clear who wrote the article.

17. All submissions must be written in fluent English.

18. Your article must hold informational weight.

When I review an article the first question I ask myself is “Will someone want to publish this articles on there website or in there Ezine. If the article sounds like nothing more than an ad for a product or website then the answer is "No". Make sure your article delivers information that is usable to the reader and not just a sales pitch to lure him or her over to your site.


All published articles placed on this website will be subject to spell and grammar corrections without prior notice.

If a submission violates these guidelines they will be rejected.

maritimewired.com reserves the right to remove or reject any article for any reason.



Regarding Publishing/Re-printing

Publishing Guidelines

By publishing or reprinting any article on this website you agree to the following:


1. Not all material on this site is available for reprint. You may only reprint article that have a "Reprint Guidelines" link present in the footer.

2. You may not sell any article within our directory or charge others to view them.

3. You must keep all text of the article intact and without any modifications. This includes the title, article, author’s bio and article source link. Also, all links within the article MUST remain active.

4. It is not required, but if you choose to do so as a courtesy, you may contact the author of the article and inform them when and where there article will be re-published by email or our personal messaging system (requires registration).

5. You may not use an article on any Web site, Ezines, newsletter, RSS feed or any other form of content delivery that contains the following:
